HERITAGE VICTORIA FUNDING AVAILABLE

The Nationals Member for Eastern Victoria Region, PETER HALL, today encouraged local historical societies, local councils and community based organisations to apply for Victoria’s Heritage Grants for 2007.

Mr Hall said, “This grants program supports the State heritage strategy Victoria’s Heritage: Strengthening our communities.

Applications are invited for the following categories:

 Repair and conservation of heritage places and objects;

 Interpretation of heritage places and objects;

 Local Government heritage studies and advice; and

 Community collections management.
